Acid Reflux Foods To Avoid

Posted on February 16, 2010.
Acid Reflux Foods To AvoidMy girlfriend thinks she has acid reflux what foods should she avoid?

My girlfriend thinks she has acid reflux. She went on vacation last week and she said that her symptoms were better. But yesterday she had Chinese food for lunch (which she probably 3 to 5 days work week.) Is Chinese food trigger acid reflux? What foods should she avoid to prevent it from triggering? What foods are good for her to eat?

As everyone has said, she needs to see a doctor, but it was not really your question .... hehe.

And she can not find a prescription medication.

But it should advoid everything acid in it .... as .... pineapple, orange juice, oranges mandran, gratefruit, etc. I'm sure the Chinese did not help, they usually put a lot of acid in it not to mention the soy sauce.

If she wants to go all natural and do not use "medicine" then she can drink milk is a natural way to get rid of stomach acid. Or if not cut it, she can go to her local health food store and they will totally give her stuff to help a long.

I'm not saying to avoid acidic foods forever, it certainly can eat whenever and for some time, but not more than twice a week, and spreading.

I hope I was helpful. =)

Firstly, if she thinks she has acid reflux, she needs to see the doctor. Acid reflux is errode the esophagus if not treated. There are many good medicines available that will correct the problem. This will keep her health and allow him to eat the foods she wants to eat more often.

Acid reflux is also known as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). GERD occurs when stomach contents, which contain acid that the stomach produces to digest your food, into the esophagus. The esophageal wall is not intended to be in contact with the high acid content of the stomach and chemically burned (hence the term "heartburn"). If GERD continues over a long period of time, it can cause permanent damage to the esophagus scarring and difficulty swallowing. Although some foods, like spicy foods high in acid, can be felt even worse GERD, reflux occurs with any food.

Another trigger excess production of stomach acid is stress. The fact that his symptoms were better on holiday when the workplace may signal that this may be a part of his problem.

If she had GERD, some people also note that this is worse when lying, can have an irritating cough that will not go away, or even experience a dry throat or horseness.

The first thing to do is try one on the acid blocker cons, such as Zantac or Pepcid AC. These works and control the symptoms of gastritis, the stomach of stress-related burns. If no relief or incomplete, or other signs of GERD are present, it should consult his doctor. The doc can assess its other causes, and if it is GERD, an inhibitor of prescribing proton pump (which reduces the production stoamch excess of strong acid) such as Nexium, the "purple pill".

Some people need to sleep supported by pillows or with the head of the upper bed of the foot. Foods to avoid are caffiene (coffee is the worst for me), alcohol, spicy foods or acidic (like orange juice, tomatoes, Chinese and Szechuan dishes). Hope this helps.

Softly sweet because things look to the stomach acid to break the compound to tell your GF to reduce sugary foods or artificial sugar in food Contense.

Spicy foods and acidic tomato sauce alcohol foods to name a few

it could be part of the spices in the food ... try Zantac or Prilosec other at the counter and see if that helps, if it does not see the doc

Just about everything will disrupt the acid reflux ... My husband told me to drink a glass of milk when you have lots of.
