Is it acceptable to drink alcohol on Bipolar Meds? I take Seroquel for my bipolar disorder. My doctor warned me not to drink alcohol on Seroquel, but I was wondering if anyone else has and does it really cause problems? I just want a glass or two of wine.
Alcohol Seroquel with a chaser? No, this is not OK!
And now you ask all the madmen "experts" here?
You need a psychiatrist!
.
N0! NO! NO! and no! Absolutely not drink with these drugs, ever. You're not supposed to ingest alcohol with many other drugs, but it is extremely dangerous with medication for bipolar disorder. I know because I made this mistake. Stick to soft drinks, please. CarolSandyToes1
Alcohol is a depressant.
Very dangerous to play roulette with your brain on Seroquel.
Please DO NOT!
A friend of my husband was married to this woman who was bipolar, and usually, it was beautiful. But if she drank while she was taking her medication, she became mad. She beat a night with a pipe and had to have staples in his head. And then, when she decided that she wanted, she would not drink just to take his medication. The man who was even worse. If the doc. said he did not do it, you do not think they know best?
