The coffee can alter the results of a fasting cholesterol test? I had my blood and my cholesterol is now 5.4. I've always been around 4.6 to 4.6 six months ago.
I am a healthy 32 years and can not understand the jump, unless the coffee I had before the test affected the outcome. Is this possible?
I do not think that coffee can make such a difference in cholesterol test. There may be a different reason.
Black coffee is fine, but coffee with milk (or worse, cream) may cause falsely elevated cholesterol.
