Colon Test

My father was a thing of the colon test done today and they found polyps?

they found polyps and they were removed but they also found a lump in his stomach or something they are testing for cancer. What are the chances of any of this cancer is? His father died of cancer and im afraid for my father.

Yes, there is a chance that your father could have cancer, there is also a chance it .... Thing is, since he went to get tested and they found polyps and removed the "mass", if it must be cancer, they probably found in plenty of time to remove, treat and cure your .... grandfather may have waited too long before seeking treatment for his cancer and is the main reason people die today from cancer - found and treated too late ... A mass in the stomach may also be an ulcer, so do not worry until your father tells you one way or the other ... but even if it should come out to cancer --- There are so many treatments that do not heal nearly as well in recent years ... so do not worry so much .... have a positive attitude and positive outlook and all will probably OK .... but why do not you sit down and discuss your concerns with your father ... it might make him feel better and you know enough to be afraid to talk to him and it would be much better wondering --- trust me I know this for a fact. I have 2 terminal illness that my son and I talk all the time ... it somehow share my experiences with it and making it much easier for me and for him to face all this.

There is no way to tell until the test is completed. We hope and pray for the best.

Do not rush to conclusions. The polyps are found a lot of a colonoscopy and are removed so they do not develop into cancer. The stomach tumor may be benign, hopefully, so just wait and see. Hand in there.

Polyps may be benign. As can be mass in the stomach. The samples are for laboratory tests to find if it's cancer. Ask your father think positive thoughts. Make sure that the family is there to support them. I had cancer and know how important it is to have family around. Even if it is cancer, it can be cured or at least put into remission. Prayer helps. Heavenly Father said knock and I'll answer.
