How come doctors do not understand how to cure heart disease? How come doctors in hospitals do not find a cure for diseases such as heart disease and lung disease?
Doctors are not medical researchers so that they are not investigations "cures" in the first place. Doctors diagnose and treat illnesses based on research conducted by scientists. The diseases are very complex. Even developing a drug that can only treat a disease can take up to 20 years of testing and most drugs tested never make it on the market. Many diseases are caused by multiple problems and sometimes the system is poorly understood even more work to do to understand the causes of the disease before they even start to treat it.
We have long known what causes heart disease, but the electric utility industry and put pressure on our government to suppress research so they do not lose their huge profits.

And now we have cell phone masts and Wi-Fi to fight, and not surprisingly, heart disease is rising again. Even children are dying of heart attacks and strokes today.
I have no doubt that this explains the increase in lung disease, too - I know wireless was linked to increased asthma.
It is still a work in progress. There are many things that can cause failiure heart or lung disease. Research continues daily. Doctors currently can treat the problem with drugs or technologies that currently exist.
