How difficult is it to replace an Everpure water filter? former occupant of my house has installed a water filter Everpure H-54 to filter the water goes into the water dispenser and icemaker in the refrigerator. I saw these filters online for $ 55 or more. Is this something I can easily replace it by cutting the water and use simple keys and screwdrivers? Or should I get it installed by a professional?
It's actually very simple to replace. This is a copy-paste from the site Everpure.
How do I remove "used" cartridges and install new?
Shut off water and relieve line pressure. For heads with built-in stop valve, fully lift the handle until it stops.
Hold the head firmly. Push upward on cartridge and turn left 1 / 4 turn until rotation stops.
Pull the cartridge head.
Align the new cartridge with the label of the head bracket. Hold the head firmly. Insert the new cartridge in the head.
Turn the cartridge to the right quarter turn until the rotation stops.
Turn on the water. For heads with built-in valve, lower handle.
Note: For the head with rotating ring, make sure the valve handle locks firmly into the slot ring.
Flush cartridge by running water in the filtered tap for three minutes to flush the cartridge and purge air.
