What is the importance of instruction Golf Swing instruction golf swing can make or break your golf swing. The wrong source, it can ruin your golf swing. From the right source, you can transform it.
On the internet, everyone thinks they are a golf pro. Just visit a forum for golf, and you see everyone and their brother to give advice. You must be careful ... these players are probably 25 handicaps themselves.
When you think of golf courses, whether on an individual basis with a teaching pro, or maybe a golf instruction DVD, you have to do a little research on the credibility of the instructor.
It is not too difficult to get some references from people you know or people who have worked with this person. If they sell a dvd check on the net, the site completely. Are they certified? If yes, what Board is it? PGA. USGTF. Or perhaps PGTA certification.
If they are certified, what is their experience? Have they been a professional in the field for long? Hopefully atleast five years teaching golfers.
Then ask about their teaching philosophy. Is it an unconventional? Does it make sense to you? Or, can it have a "new" method that you've never heard of before?
On the other hand, are they going to remake your swing, or help you quickly back on the course? I would run if they say "it will take some time, and do not expect results for several sessions."
I have heard horror stories of golfers spend hundreds, even thousands of dollars on lessons, and seeing no improvement in their golf swing and game. They have "been taken" for their money, and those teaching pros said should be held accountable for the money they have taken these golfers.
More often than not, you only need a few adjustments to your current golf swing to really see a difference on the ground. This may be your grip. Alignment. Posture. Or your initials to go. Anyway, you should in itself a significant difference in just a few lessons.
A lack of swing can be a simple solution, but you'll need to do some practice exercises or outside of your golf course to actually see the glue. Like anything, you should put a little work to see something out of it.
Instruction specific to your golf swing can make a huge difference, so take the foregoing into consideration before you spend your hard earned money.
