Bioflavonoids are derived from natural plant sources and work to reduce inflammation of the hemorrhoid. Witch hazel, an astringent, can be used to reduce bleeding hemorrhoids, relieve pain, reduce swelling and itching.
Most treatments for hemorrhoids are over the counter variety. In the case of serious bleeding hemorrhoids or prolapse of a large hemorrhoids, surgery may be necessary to treat hemorrhoids or remove hemorrhoids anus or rectum.
