Hip Muscle Pain

A few years ago, my friend was in a serious car accident. It was broadsided on the driver's side of a school bus and was driving a Mustang. Since then he has small amounts of pain in the left hip area. Recently, it became serious. He had an MRI the other day and they said it is not a problem of vertebrae (which the chiropractor suspects) and they think it may be muscular. The doctor spoke of muscle off the bone? I've never heard of this and would please some input. He has another appointment today, but we feel so helpless. What does this mean? What we do cons?

Well, I hope that the school district stands up under the tab Medical. There's really no way of knowing until the doctor examines it.
