Intestinal Ulcer

Two weeks ago I was found to have an ulcer mass instesinal. I was on one week of IV antibiotics in hospital and another week at home, I am now finished with the antibiotics. I was told to take Prilosec OTC 2x a day, what I did for centuries. Protonix has been given me in the hospital, but a requirement was out of question that we have no insurance right now - and insurance companies will pay more for Protonix as it is.

The pain of the ulcer is what eventually landed me in hospital, pain very intense. I'm still experiencing the same pain despite taking Prilosec OTC, which told me to heal the ulcer. The GI doctor is a kind of Curt with me when I ask how I can relieve pain. I rarely eat (lost 22 pounds in one week depending on the scale of office dr). What can I do to help relieve the pain. It is very debilitating and makes me in bed while I try to suffer the effects. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds basic I know .. but try to drink one 8 oz glass of water within 15 minutes. The water is very soothing and most people do not drink enough anyway. Also a natural foods store near you should have a decent life Aloe Vera - a glass-do not go for the cheaper it usually means it's really watered down ... do a little research on the brands on the Internet first if you can - then take all day.
