Joint Arthritis

Posted on March 8, 2010.
Joint ArthritisAnyone familiar with the surgery of rheumatoid basilar?

My mother was recently diagnosed with basilar arthritis. It also has a trigger thumb. She saw a hand specialist, and he wants to perform the surgery on her as they rebuild the joint with a piece of tendon from the forearm. Does anyone have experience with this? Whether you have had surgery or someone you know?

the operation is called a graft Eaton and the best thing I ever did! I didn't of arthritis, but I was in a car accident and the airbag destroys the ligament in my left thumb. The thick tendon that goes up and down the arm (you can see if you made a fist and relax your hand while looking inwards to the palm) is sniped where it meets the heel of the palm and is pulled Through the case of the joint of the thumb is damaged. There will be some tightness in his forearm until the body adapts to physical therapy help. Im a wimp when it comes to pain and a slow healer vulnerable to infection. I went one year to the day of the accident before finding someone who could help me, I honestly believe that other surgeons have been just me for money: (

I had surgery one month later the same day my thumb was moved from its own spasm of the procedure and I cried, not just cause it hurts like hell, but because I had 10 fingers for the first time in over a year! I healed at an astonishing pace in both the mine and experience the Dominican Republic. It has been almost three years and the graft is still strong!

Its pretty easy for an operation as it is a day I think I was at home in three hours. And of course there is pain, but thats what drugs are for - heehee .... she will do fine -
Good luck: D

Arthritis, experienced a webcast somewhere on this surgery and it seems normal, routine, and the result was good.
