Your dog food from the liver, the vet gives the dog Tylenol is toxic to dogs and causes damage to the liver and is metabolized by the liver. Why is Tylenol?

I layer of sugar or would it be honest. 14 is old enough for a dog. You're lucky, you had so long.

It is a very good age for a Rott. It sounds like she is in pain when she licks like that. You've had a long time and I know it's hard but better start preparing for the sad days ahead. I really feel for you all. I'm so sorry. Beware ....

Liver disease is a terminal illness, but it can sometimes slow the progression with good nutrition. There are prescription diets available for dogs with liver disease, ask your veterinarian. Or you can go to a nutritionist and www.petdiets.com Veterinary customize homemade recipes for your dog. They charge for this service if. Drink a ton of water is fairly typical of liver disease, the body tries to eliminate toxins and thirst increases because of this. The toxins also cause nausea, so she does not eat at once. 14 is a long time to wonder, well beyond average life span for a Rott.

You can try giving her milk, Thistle N - acetylcysteine, and Sam-E, which are nutritional supplements for the liver, but I had the same thing happening to my mixed breed 16 years old, and she lived about three weeks before we would have put down, as she was in pain and not eating anything.
I'm sorry for your dog.It is very sad when they get older and sick. The best you can do is keep his pain - free, feed everything she eats, and when the time comes, let go . She will tell you with her eyes when she is ready.

Hills Science Diet - K / D Food - is for the renal system - sounds like you and your veterinarian need to talk further. Abnormal amounts of drinking may be a sign of diabetes Danine, slike noise, it needs a blood panel. I do not see where it says it is the Tylenol in your question - but no Tylenol for dogs - not acetometaphin - for dogs! keep your eyes closed and his call veterinarian as soon as you can.

I do not understand. My Rottyx ten.You is lucky to have your dog in 14 years. The average life of a Rottweiler is 12 years. It seems that if your dog has Diabetes.I want to say that it will continue to be OK. But I think you know that this is not true.I just put my best friend was a sleep. He foxyx, and seven years old. But I had to help him out of his pain. You are only prolonging the index inevitable. The just how she feels when she stops eating. So I pray for your dog, and I pray that you will do the right thing by her. It could be lost to your sight, but your love to keep her spirit alive. May God bless you!

My dog has the same problems and they would have found a new test and because of liver disease, she was diabetic and needed two.
