Melanoma Photos

Hello, I heard that one way to prevent melanoma is a systematic control of the skin by a doctor. I know that the doctor simply does a visual check, but I heard that there is a method more powerful. It is based on taking pictures of birthmarks and comparison of subsequent images (made with an interval of time). I would like to know the name of the method.

In fact, I heard it called many things and I think people just use different names to make good version of their special center. The ones I can think of is the "mole mapping photography", "whole body" or "the photo of the whole body.

The leaflets at the clinic where I worked said Total Body Photography, but I do not think there is a consensus on the name. In any event, if you one of these Google, a lot of links will appear.

The only thing I can think of would thermal imaging. There is a treatment called thermal neutron Capture Therapy. I hope this helps you. Good luck!
