Meth Rehab

Posted on February 11, 2010.
Meth RehabMeth Rehabilitation, which is a good rehab that does not cost too much?

My son has more meth, he had for 7 years. I want to put in a treatment center, but I do not know which. I looked at Narconon, but I'm afraid of him. It's too hard on a body already abused. Does anyone know if it works or can suggest another.

Narconon is a Scientology front:

Key facts about Narconon:

Over 90% of the rehabs are based 12step (AA / NA). The others are almost all religious Narconon or heavy.

What works? A summary of alcohol treatment research:

(Almost all of these elements can be used for other addictions, and note how the list of Alcoholics Anonymous and twelve step facilitation are.)

Approximately three quarters of people with substance abuse have also underlying meth mental health problems, perhaps your best bet would be to check with your local NAMI and see what's available in your area:

Many mental health facilities offer dual diagnosis treatment. Motivational interviewing or cognitive therapy success rate than the traditional treatment of substance abuse of all kinds.

Feel free to contact me and I'll see if I know anything in your area.

I would like to speak to an adviser in your area. Is there a hospital in your area with a floor of psych? If so, you should definitely contact the doctor in this department and to discover his opinion, or even speak to one of the nurses on the floor on the issue. You can even call your local hospital and ask to be transferred to someone who might be able to help with the issue. This is a very serious matter and as a nurse, I do not think you should count on an answer you gave someone on Yahoo, but to talk with a health professional. If you want me to give you the number in a health care facility in my area who may be able to answer your questions, I can.

theres someone at your local social services office that can get people into a treatment center and they will help you find your son the right center for him, too, they have all sorts of funding for drug tratment, so you can get him into a treatment center for free. I was recently the same thing so I know theres a lot of help out there offered good luck to you and your son
