Has anyone had a baby soy / milk protein intolerance that has grown out of it in a few months? My son was diagnoed with a milk / soy protein intolerance at 2 months after soy and milk-based formulas. He spat a lot of blood in his stool had muccus and has been very difficult. A few months later he was given a RAST test for allergies and they said it showed he had no allergies. So we started giving him formula milk based. He did great. A week ago we started gradually transition to whole milk and he started spitting up more (he has reflux infant) of nasal congestion and distorted sounds. Congestion and GO. Now the Docters said he has a little milk intolerance. The doc wants her to drink soy milk, but, he says, he can eat things with milk in it. The Docter said he had an allergy to soy the wound before it can tolerate soy.
My brother and cousin had both MspI and infant reflux. Both were very good when they are 1. The doctors said to play it safe and DONT peak in the soy milk and if it is still showing symptoms when he is not ready to have milk or soy. try again in a few months. other common intolerances are nuts, wheat, corn, strawberries and so it may be one of those that cause problems. When you decide to see if it has exceeded its tolerance, then add one thing at a time. like milk and wait a few weeks to see if something happens then try something else. by MspI have babies at higher risk of developing food allergies later (my aunt always carries an EpiPen Kid Incase my cousin just eating something that has developed an allergy) I know luck can be MspI difficult to treat.
ps be glad your doctor was able to recognize MspI while your son was that young. My brother and his cousin were diagnosed after six months of screaming.
My 2 oldest son could not soy as a baby or they could have milk because the milk fat the only choice we had worked for us was dry of milk. It's kind of expensive, but it broke all vomit and blood in the stool. We also found that boys were allergic to iron in formulas that may be a consideration for you. Maybe try soy again, but without obtaining the type of iron. Hope things improve.
My now 12 year old daughter had an allergy to Similac Isomil and Enfamil Prosobee & & when she was between 6 weeks (she has also developed the first of many sinus infection at 6 weeks) and 4 years, during this period, She has been on Alimentum formula (she finally started at 4 years). She had bad cradle cap that her pediatrician said it was a type of allergy to Isomil, Prosobee, Similac and Enfamil. She drinks milk does not always work, but that is fine with Mac and cheese and yogurt. Sounds like ur child have a milk allergy that I do not know that milk intolerance symptoms of lactose intolerance, however, causes diahrrea, bloating, gas etc.. I know b / c I have lactose intolerance and cannot not drink or eat something with milk in it.
