Moderate Anemia

Posted on February 4, 2010.
Moderate AnemiaMild / moderate anemia?

Mild to moderate anemia??

After a bit of blood, I discovered that I have a bit low red blood count of 3.8, a relatively low hemoglobin (128) and also a relatively low level of iron and ferritin (34 ). The doctor has ruled out a "severe anemia, but not tell you what I have (if any) until she got the rest of the blood tests. Any predictions or speculations?

I'll post the results of my blood tests from others when I receive them.

You're a little short iron in your body, apparently. And iron is found to be important stuff to help the formation of hemoglobin, the main structure in the red blood cells.

If all goes well, and hopefully, your doctor can not find another reason for your low / moderate anemia, all you have to do is improve your diet with iron, and maybe start a Iron supplements orally.

PS: If you have bleeding from anywhere, no matter how insignificant, tell your doctor that his-important.

Anemia can be caused by different things, but you'll probably be placed on an iron supplement to replenish your body. Try to eat plenty of foods rich in iron.
