Is there a treatment for post nasal drip cough? I'm sure my mother has postnasal drip and is still coughing. Is there anything she can do about it? She needs something long term it may take or every day.
Mucinex DM and Claritan
I suffered from this type of cough for years. I barely noticed, because it seemed I always had a cough. Co-workers always commented on that property. I've been on a couple of different medications with little success over the last 2 years. But three months ago my doctor prescribed me Zyrtec and Flonase nasal spray. What a difference it made. Family and friends have certainly noticed. No more coughing!
Mucinex, Benadryl luck ............... good
HVE I had a severe cough postnasal drip for many years, and recently, after years of treatments have been prescribed Nasonex and it was the most successful treatment so far. It is only available on prescription, but it can be used indefinitely, unlike other nasal sprays-the-counter.
Good luck
hot tea, sleep slightly elevated and may try Mucinex.
