What exercises are there to straighten my spine? I have a slight case of scoliosis ... my lower left rib cage far exceeds my right. Is there anything to remedy or correct my spine (the exercises). No surgery or braces.
I have a similar problem. Here is a simple band that my doctor recommended:
Standing before a door open, about 3 feet back, feet shoulder width apart. Take the door handle (one hand on each side). While firmly grasping the doorknob, slowly bend backwards (as if you sit), but keep your legs straight. Do not bend your knees, or you will not stretch the spine.
Hold for few seconds, then back. Repeat 5 times about 3 times a day.
I find it really works for me. Hope it helps you too!
It is to breathe a little easier ... deep breaths in particular. the only thing that really fixed my rib cage has been seeing a chiropractor a few times a week for about a year. But I do not stretch so far, especially when I feel tightness around my chest or upper back. Flag
ASK IF YO Docta O 'it can give you a BACKBRACE
Yoga is ideal for things like that, but honestly, you should get your doctors opinion before doing this. And there are ways to work on your spine and get a better position, I had a slight curve when I was younger and did all sorts of exercises. Good luck.
The best thing that I know of (I have scoliosis too) is a comprehensive guide for the care of the back called "Overcome Neck and Back" by Kit Laughlin. It takes you through a series of exercises 'gentle stretching designed to stretch your back muscles and relieve the pressure. It combines several disciplines, including chiropractic, yoga, shiatsu, and more. Get a perfectly straight back is probably not possible, but you'll feel much after these exercises. see here:

Yoga is very helpful. It may be the answer, but it will help.
fix your back leg up on your chest and hold for the account 5. Then he asked, and do the same thing with the other leg.
To do this, 5 times each. Then bring both legs together and keep count of 5, this 5 times. Also. Works for me after whiplash.
Chiropractor taught me that.
All I can offer you advice and encouragement.
At the age of 16 years, I break into my cartilage discs 3 sacroliliac (whatever).
It was very painful and I was walking "funny".
I went to a chiropractor who did a lot of twisting, pushing and pulling, etc. that do not seem to help, but next year things began to get better at the time I went to an orthopedist.
Within two years, it was as if I had never had a problem.
Maybe it was just recovering, I'll never know.
I'm not recommending anything dramatic, just ask your primary care physician about an orthopedist.
Incidentally, when I went to the chiropractor he made some adjustments quickly turn my head, snapping my neck.
I told him: "Doctor, if you ever do it again, I'll kill you."
He chuckled.
I repeated, very coolly, I kid you not, if you ever do it again, I'll kill you. "
He did not do it again.
