Tonsil Cancer

I had an inflammation of the tonsils for about 2-3 months now, and they have not declined. Now I notice that one becomes larger than the other (which is a symptom of cancer of the tonsils) Is it possible to happen? Because both started just been ignited.

It is possible to get cancer in one or two of your tonsils, but unless you are over 40 years and are either a smoker or work around secondhand smoke, so it is infinitely more likely that you may be strep throat or complicated by another type of throat infection. Go to the DR and get your throat swabbed, know exactly what type of infection you're dealing with and then take the correct antibiotics for a long enough period of time (perhaps as long as 14-21 days). Gargle regularly with warm salt water. If you smoke then quit.

I do not think there is such a thing as cancer of the tonsils. There throat cancer which comprises the whole gorge. You must have a prolonged infection if you go to the doctor. They might want to remove the tonsils. An infection of this type is not supported may lead to worse thngs, such as rheumatic fever.
