What is the best business to start: air duct vent cleaning or sealcoating? I have the opportunity to start a sealcoating company or buy or duct cleaning franchise. startup costs are very close. What is the best in the industry to go? What is the most profitable?
I want to go sealcoating, and here's why.
Duct cleaning is still a fairly new business and yours much more difficult. People know very well that if their access roads are not maintained, they deteriorate and must be replaced much sooner, and that costs $ 60 - $ 75 (the average cost of a Residential Driveway in my suburban environment) is something not only necessary but very affordable and good value compared to the cost of doing yourself. You, as buyer bulk sealcoat can get if for much less per five gallons (the way it is sold to retail customers). It cost me about $ 30 to $ 35 to buy the sealer (no brush or gloves) to my path that would cost $ 45 to pay someone to save $ 10, I'll do myself? Not even in times of recession when people try to reduce they want to do this work themselves, but they still get their aisles to do, because it's much more expensive to replace the driveway.
Cleaning your ducts, while it is very fashionable right now - you rarely hear about this 10 years ago, and it was unthinkable strictly residential, 20 years ago, is several times the cost of closing a driveway. I have never myself money, but I think it costs for an average house, between $ 300 - $ 400. That'sa lot of money and a tougher sell. Generations of people have never had their ducts touched all their lives and suffered no demonstrable effects ill from it. All the studies that say the opposite may be biased to help sell the service. In a recession, it is one of the first things that people decide they can put off.
As for the profitability of each company, I have no information. I find it hard to believe that starting a sealcoating company will vcost addition to purchasing a franchise is established, though, and then you have to pay a fee courses and other expenses associated with owning a franchise fees that you will not have to sealcoating.
cleaning the air is very important air inside your home is what you and your family breathes, almost all schools and large companies to reach air ducts cleaned every two years, and Smart homeowners at least get home HVAC system inspected once a year the EPA rates indoor air 4th worst. Report Abuse
depends on you. Wind cleaning is more oriented towards people. you should go home, clean it vents and make sure theres no confusion and people are happy with what you did. Some people can be a pain in the, you know. Sealcoating? as bridges? or driveways? input leakage is more difficult to work, but you can really do a lot of them in one day and it is instant cash, very chaotic on your truck and wipes well. Deck sealing is a good job, even a little labor intensive, Powerwasher, chemicals and a good truck. I would thing that ever one you LEF more comfortable.
