refrigerator water filter does not work, why? My husband checked to make sure everything was secured and we searched the manual and he told the press the dispenser lever for at least 2 minutes and if they do not work, change the filter because it can be obstructed. Well, we have tried all and it goes without saying that they did not work. We took the new filter again and was filled with water ... If the water line does not work, would it still reach the filter? Any ideas or suggestions before calling the manufacturer or a plumber? Thank you in advance.
If you have hard or mineralized / rusty water, a place to look is the connection of the water in the refrigerator with a water line larger home. It is usually in the ceiling of the basement, not too far from the bottom of the refrigerator. The refrigerator has a water line in white plastic, which is connected to a water pipe over a valve "seat". These valves can clog saddle and corrode. This can be a source of your problems.
Put a valve on the new saddle is not a difficult thing to do.
Good luck!
Call the repairman.
I asked my husband Plummer real quick, "he said to call someone.
sorry.
The water may be frozen. Is it making ice?
Do you have water at the end of the filter??
